Britannia Hotel AS is responsible for processing all personal information collected through our hotel booking system, restaurant booking system, spa booking systems and other services either via our website or directly by phone, email, or other inquiries. We respect your privacy completely, and naturally comply with applicable laws to protect you as an individual.

Britannia Hotel collects personal information for the purpose of managing, delivering and developing our services. We strive to handle your reservations in the best possible way so that your experience at our hotel or our other services is the best it possibly can be. We also strive to adapt our communication to your needs.

The personal information we collect should be relevant to the purpose of the service, such as, for example, name, email address, phone number, IP address and other information that simplifies the use of our digital services.

All guests can, at any time, reserve themselves from the use of your personal information in our marketing and other offers. We store, handle, and delete personal information in accordance with law. Security and Data Processors
All personal information we collect is protected, in our own systems, at all times. We do not share your information with third parties, however, we do use external actors to handle some of our systems. ANTI Trondheim is our website developer and is also one of our website’s data processing companies. Working IT is responsible for the operation of the website, as well as a data processing company.  The aforementioned vendors may only use available data for Britannia Hotel, and will never share this data with other parties. Protel Hotel Software is the chosen reservation system for hotel rooms via both online booking and booking directly at the hotel. Guest history and personal data will be stored for up to 3 years to ensure that we are able to follow you up to the best of our abilities for your next stay.

SuperOffice Norway is our CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system used for the business and conference markets.


All traffic on our website is logged anonymously. This information can not be traced back to any individual. Data is logged for the purpose of optimising our website to increase the ease of use for all our guests, and is the standard for most websites today.  To make this possible, the site will add a cookie to your browser. Google Analytics (_ga, _gat and _gid)
We use Google Analytics to collect unidentified information about guests on the website. The purpose of these statistics is to improve and further develop the website. Examples of collected statistics is: how many people visit different pages, how long they visit these pages, what websites users come from and what browsers they are using. The information is of course processed in an unidentified and aggregated form. Unidentified means that we can not track the information we collect back to the individual guest. The guest’s IP address is anonymised and processed at aggregated level, that is, all data is merged into a group and is not individually processed.

The site uses Facebook Pixel to collect information about guests on the website in order to collect information for the customisation of content to relevant guests who have shown interest in this via the website.

E-mail newsletter
In order for us to send email newsletters, you must register an email address. Mailchimp is the data processor for the newsletter. The e-mail address is stored in Mailchimp’s database, will never be shared with others, and deleted when you unsubscribe.
