Booking Terms
Booking
By making a reservation, you confirm that you are of legal age or hold the necessary authority to make the booking on behalf of all persons included in the reservation.
The reservation becomes binding once confirmed by Britannia Hotel through the issuance of a booking confirmation.
You are responsible for checking that the details in the confirmation are correct and for reporting any errors as soon as possible.
Payment
All reservations must be guaranteed with a valid payment card.
Prepayment may be required for certain rates or stays. This will be stated prior to completion of the booking.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment is due at check-out.
Rates
All rates are quoted in Norwegian kroner (NOK), inclusive of value added tax unless otherwise stated.
Britannia Hotel reserves the right to change the rates of available rooms until the reservation is confirmed. Once a booking has been confirmed, the rate will not change, unless there is an evident clerical, system, or pricing error.
Amending a Reservation
Amendments to a reservation are subject to availability and the applicable rate and booking conditions.
Reservations marked as non-refundable generally cannot be amended or cancelled.
Cancellation
The applicable cancellation terms are stated at the time of booking and in the booking confirmation.
In the event of a no-show or a cancellation made after the applicable deadline, the hotel may charge in accordance with the terms that applied to the selected reservation.
Amendments or Cancellation by the Hotel
Should Britannia Hotel, due to circumstances within the hotel's control, be unable to honour a confirmed reservation, the hotel will, as far as practically possible, offer a comparable alternative or refund any amounts paid.
This provision does not limit any rights afforded under mandatory Norwegian law.
The hotel reserves the right to terminate a guest's stay should that guest's conduct constitute a material breach of the agreement, or pose a danger or significant inconvenience to other guests, staff, or the hotel's property.
Special Requests
Special requests may be noted at the time of booking; however, they cannot be guaranteed and will be accommodated subject to availability.
Accessibility
Guests requiring special accommodation are encouraged to contact the hotel prior to arrival. Within the scope of applicable legislation and practical feasibility, the hotel will endeavour to meet such needs.
Force Majeure
Britannia Hotel shall not be liable for any failure to fulfil its obligations where such failure results from extraordinary circumstances beyond the hotel's reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, governmental orders, war, acts of terrorism, or other force majeure events.
Damages
Guests are liable for any damage to the hotel's property caused by themselves or by any persons they have granted access to the hotel. The hotel may seek compensation in accordance with general principles of tort law.
Complaints
Should you be dissatisfied with your stay, please inform the hotel as soon as possible so that we may have the opportunity to address the matter.
