Last November, Britannia had the great pleasure of welcoming guests to a magnificent dinner with the highly-acclaimed, master brewer Garrett Oliver, from Brooklyn Brewery. The award-winning beer maker spent the evening telling stories, while we sipped on his knowledge and enthusiasm.

Garrett Oliver is the man behind the famous Brooklyn Brewery. The New York beer maker has been a leader in the American microbrewery revolution. Garrett has also edited the Oxford Companion to Beer and written several of the most important works in the beer world. In Trondheim he is particularly well-known Brooklyn's close collaboration with E.C. Dahl's Brewery, and the great brews that have been created through that partnership.
During the beermaker’s dinner, Garrett presented both well-known and unknown brews; many of which are not be possible to experience elsewhere in Norway.

Britannia’s Executive Head Chef, Espen Aunaas, composed a menu of the best ingredients, carefully adapted to match Garrett's beer. The evening started with an aperitif at 7pm, followed by a fantastic five-course meal in Salong Wedel Jarlsberg.
A beer and dining experience not to be missed, suitable for aficionados and newcomers to the beer scene. Stay tuned for many more beer events in 2020.
