From 23 to 25 December, we invite you to make Britannia your home for Christmas. Whether you wish to spend the festive days entirely at the hotel, or combine cherished time with family and friends in Trondheim with a stay at Britannia, everything is in place for a truly memorable Christmas.

Your stay includes accommodation, a five-star hotel breakfast in Palmehaven, a Christmas stocking on Christmas Eve, our Grand Buffet in Palmehaven on 24 December, access to Britannia Spa & Fitness, as well as early check-in and late check-out.

The Christmas package is available from 23 to 25 December, with a minimum stay of two nights.

Welcome to the festive season in Palmehaven. In our historic surroundings, we invite you to enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch, a cherished occasion for colleagues, friends and family to come together, or simply a welcome pause amid the bustle of Advent.

Our Christmas lunch buffet celebrates the flavours and traditions of the season, alongside some of Palmehaven’s own specialities. The selection of cold dishes includes smoked salmon, gravlax, an assortment of herring, roast beef and cured meats, while the warm buffet offers traditional Christmas favourites, accompanied by fish and vegan options.

Every Tuesday to Thursday from 24 November to 10 December, we invite you to experience this year’s Christmas buffet at Palmehaven.

A generous festive spread awaits, celebrating the flavours and traditions of a Norwegian Christmas. Enjoy everything from seafood, cured meats and cheeses to seasonal favourites such as pork ribs, pinnekjøtt and lutefisk, before rounding off the evening with beloved Christmas classics and exquisite creations from our patisserie.

Beneath Palmehaven’s iconic starry sky, an evening of festive elegance awaits, with our Grand Buffet, live music and a wonderful Christmas atmosphere. The Elisabeth Nygård-Pearson Quartet will set the tone for the evening, with a repertoire that takes you seamlessly from dinner into the celebrations.

As the live music draws to a close, our DJ takes over, inviting you to stay a little longer and continue the evening on the dance floor.

Add a touch of theatre to your festive stay with an evening at Nye Hjorten Teater, just a short stroll from Britannia.

This year’s spectacular Christmas show brings together musical numbers, brand-new sketches and plenty of humour from Mads Bones, Kyrre Havdal and Olve Løseth. Expect an evening filled with laughter, music and festive cheer – the perfect addition to a Christmas visit to Trondheim.

Performances run from 25 November to 19 December.

Afternoon Tea at Palmehaven is inspired by one of Britain’s most cherished traditions, and during the days between Christmas and New Year, it takes on an extra touch of festive charm.

Settle in beneath Palmehaven’s iconic starry sky and enjoy a selection of seasonal sweet and savoury delicacies, freshly baked scones and a glass of something special. A delightful tradition for family and friends to share as the festive season draws to a close.

Begin your morning with a five-star breakfast at Palmehaven. Take your time over our generous breakfast buffet and let the day unfold at a leisurely pace. Enjoy omelettes prepared to order, freshly baked bread and pastries, alongside a carefully selected range of local produce, and savour a quiet moment together before the day’s Christmas celebrations begin.

Throughout the festive season, breakfast is served from 8.00 am to 11.00 am. Guests not staying at the hotel are warmly invited to join us, making Christmas morning at Palmehaven a tradition to share with family and friends.

In keeping with tradition, we invite you to an unforgettable New Year’s Eve celebration beneath Palmehaven’s iconic starry sky. Mark the final evening of the year with an elegant five-course gala dinner, accompanied by live music and dancing, before raising a glass as midnight approaches and we welcome the New Year together. A timeless celebration, and a sparkling beginning to the year ahead.
