The Grand Buffet is made for those evenings you look forward to all season. From the first toast and the atmosphere of Palmehaven to a table filled with the finest flavours of Christmas, settle in for an evening that takes you from dinner to celebration.

Grand Buffet offers the finest seasonal ingredients, with dedicated stations for fish, shellfish and cheese. Traditional Christmas favourites include roast pork belly, pinnekjøtt and lutefisk, alongside dishes such as baked halibut with Champagne sauce.

For something sweet, a generous dessert table awaits, filled with classic Christmas desserts, festive bakes and tempting creations from our pastry chefs.

Live music is an essential part of the Grand Buffet experience.

In collaboration with Nye Hjorten Teater, we have created a programme of live music to accompany the evening from dinner to dancing. Taking to the stage is a jazz trio of acclaimed musicians, joined by Elisabeth Nygård-Pearson on vocals. Elisabeth became known to a wider audience through The Voice in 2025 and will be joined by some of Trondheim’s finest musicians:

With several live sets throughout the evening, the atmosphere gradually moves from dinner to dancing beneath Palmehaven’s starry sky. Later in the evening, the DJ takes over and keeps the celebration going.
