Order Britannia's 17th May buffet to take away

For those of you celebrating Constitution Day at home this year, Britannia has put together a delicious buffet with tasty light meals, sweets and 17th May favourites. Beautifully packaged and ready for you ti take home and wow your guests.

The 17th May, Norwegian Constitution Day, is the biggest day of celebration for many in Norway. This year will be a little different than usual, but that does not mean your spread should be any less delightful. Our skilled chefs and pastry makers have created a take away buffet package, in order to help you celebrate in style with your friends and family at home.

Update: Britannia's 17th May buffet take away is now sold out. We still have cake available until Wednesday 13th May. Several of our restaurants have free tables on May 17 - see full list of availability here.

The package includes a selection of dishes, snacks, cakes and sides, which we think should be on every 17th May spread. All that's left for you to do is to lay the table, decorate, get your bunad on, and put the bubbles on ice.

The 17th May buffet includes 14+ dishes/items, all individually wrapped and beautifully presented in Britannia packing.

Our 17th May pack includes:

  • Green asparagus with onion mayonnaise and Avruga caviar
  • Britannia's Skagenrøre (shrimp salad) with prawns from Lyngen
  • Blinis with whitefish roe from Kalix and Røros cream with chives
  • Smoked salmon from Vega with scrambled eggs
  • French potato salad, with mustard, capers and cornichons
  • Long-fried turkey breast with Waldorf salad
  • Roast beef from Røros veal, served with coarse remulade and crispy onions
  • Selection of cured ham and sausages
  • Local cheeses with handmade biscuits and chutney
  • Olives and pickles
  • Bread from Britannia's bakery and butter from Røros
  • 'Kransekake' sticks (almond cake)
  • Strawberry tartlets
  • Macaroons

Price per person kr 590,-

Britannia's 17th May buffet can be ordered for a minimum of 4 people, and the order deadline is Wednesday 13th May. The pack(s) must then be collected in person from the hotel between 12 midday and 6pm on Saturday 16th May.

You may choose your preferred collection time when completing the order.

Our fantastic pastry chef Cathrine Nilsen has developed several sweets to accompany in the 17th May pack, including these delightful strawberry tartlets. Little bundles of joy with which to wow your guests and tastebuds.

If you would like to compliment the package with a show-stopping cake, Cathrine is also taking orders for whole cakes. These can be ordered via mail at booking@britannia.no.

Cakes can in addition to take away orders, or ordered separately. Order by Wednesday 13th May. The cakes can then be collected from the hotel Saturday 16th May, between 12 midday and 6pm.
